How do I add the lock screen widget?
On iPhone, long-press your lock screen and tap "Customize." Select "Add Widgets," find Intention in the list, and tap to add it. The widget appears below the time on your lock screen.
Why does the app ask for contacts permission?
If you type something like "text Anna," the app looks up the name in your contacts to find the right person. Your contacts are never sent off your device — the lookup happens locally.
Does the app work on Android?
Yes. Intention is available on both iOS and Android. The lock screen widget experience differs slightly between platforms but the core functionality is the same.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. What you type into Intention is used to route you to an action and is not stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The app isn't routing me to the right place. What should I do?
Try rephrasing your intention more specifically. If something consistently doesn't work as expected, email us at support@intentionapp.org with an example and we'll look into it.
